Theme: The Holy Spirit Baptismal font window

Location: Our Lady Queen of Peace, Coosan, Athlone, Co.Westmeath.

The window was installed as part of a refurbishment of the baptismal font area in the church. The objective of the refurbishment was to enhance the experience of the sacrament of baptism and the creation of a contemporary stained glass window was central to the aim. The theme based on the sacrament of baptism and the Holy Spirt is expressed through the outline of a dove with an olive branch set within an amber stained band symbolic of the energy of the Holy Spirit. The location of the building to the River Shannon was the inspiration for the energetic lead lines and blue glass.
